The Courtyard House
An inward-looking home built around a small, luminous garden.

Project overview
Designed around
the experience.
A compact urban plot becomes an opportunity to create a private outdoor room at the centre of everyday life. Rooms are arranged around the courtyard to make a sense of openness without sacrificing privacy.
A sequence of thresholds moves from street to shaded verandah, into a light-filled courtyard, and finally to the quieter private rooms.
